Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Programme

The Certified Accounting Technician course is designed for individuals seeking to develop a strong foundation in basic accounting principles and practices, even if they don’t have an accounting background. This program covers essential topics such as bookkeeping, financial statements, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping, equipping participants with practical skills to manage everyday financial tasks confidently. Ideal for non-accounting professionals, small business owners, or anyone looking to enhance their financial literacy, this certification provides the knowledge needed to understand and contribute to financial processes in any organization

CAT Entry Requirements

1. A Bachelor’s degree in any field;

2. At least two years of experience in a related area (e.g., HR, business management, sales, marketing, supply chain, internal control, treasury, banking, etc.) is preferred. However, students are also welcome to join;

3. A minimum of 25 hours of approved accounting management training.

Evaluate/Assessment

Exam Format

The CAT examination is a closed-book, One hour & Thirty Minutes test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. You can take the exam from your residence using your computer.

Module 3: Accounting Concepts and Principles

Module 5: How to Prepare a Profit and Loss (Income) Statement

Module 7: Statement of Cash Flows

Module 9: Working Capital Management

Module 2: The Accountant’s Roles and Responsibilities

Module 4: Subsidiary Books in Accountancy

Module 6: What is a Balance Sheet?

Module 8: What is Budgeting and Why is it Important?

Module 10: Importance of Ratio Analysis

After passing the Exam, AAP courier the hardcopy CAT certificate to the candidates origin country.
