Certified Accounting Associate (CAA) Programme
The ‘Certified Accounting Associate’ course is designed for individuals seeking to develop a strong foundation in basic accounting principles and practices, even if they don’t have an accounting background. This program covers essential topics such as bookkeeping, financial statements, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping, equipping participants with practical skills to manage everyday financial tasks confidently. Ideal for non-accounting professionals, small business owners, or anyone looking to enhance their financial literacy, this certification provides the knowledge needed to understand and contribute to financial processes in any organization
CAA Entry Requirements
1. A Bachelor’s degree in any field;
2. At least Graduation in a related area (e.g., HR, business management, sales, marketing, supply chain, internal control, treasury, banking, etc.) is preferred. However, students are also welcome to join;
3. A minimum of 25 hours of approved accounting management training.
Evaluate/Assessment
- Upon completing the course, you will be required to sit for an online exam.
Marks: 100
Passing score: 50%
Duration: 90 minutes. - If a participant fails the exam, they can retake it 2nd time on free of cost on the next available date by confirming via email. For further attempts, only the exam fee of GBP 20 needs to be paid.
Exam Format
The CAA examination is a closed-book, One hour & Thirty Minutes test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. You can take the exam from your residence using your computer.
CAA Syllabus
This course syllabus consists of the following 10 modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
Introduction to accounting principles, the accounting cycle, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements.

Module 3: Business Taxation and Compliance in UK
Overview of VAT, income tax, and regulatory compliance for businesses in UK.

Module 5: Financial Analysis and Reporting
Techniques for interpreting financial statements, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and preparing simple financial reports for decision-making.

Module 2: Cost and Management Accounting
Basics of cost classification, budgeting, break-even analysis, and managerial decision-making tools.

Module 4: Corporate Laws and Governance
An introduction to key company laws, business registration, regulatory bodies, and governance practices.

Module 6: Auditing and Internal Controls
Basics of auditing principles, types of audits, internal control systems, and how to detect and prevent errors or fraud.
