CFS Syllabus
This course syllabus consists of the following 10 modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Financial Statements
Introduction to the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of changes in equity with basic accounting principles.

Module 3: Financial Statement Analysis and Interpretation
Tools and techniques for analyzing financial health using ratios, trends, and comparative analysis.

Module 5: Budgeting and Financial Planning
Development and management of operational and capital budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Module 7: Cost-Volume-Profit (CVP) and Break-Even Analysis
Financial modeling for decision-making related to volume, pricing, cost behavior, and profitability thresholds.

Module 9: Working Capital and Short-Term Financial Management
Managing inventory, receivables, payables, and cash to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.

Module 2: Cash Flow Analysis and Management
Preparation and interpretation of the Statement of Cash Flows, with a focus on operating, investing, and financing activities.

Module 4: Cost Accounting and Cost Classification
Understanding direct and indirect costs, fixed vs variable costs, and cost accumulation methods for internal reporting.

Module 6: Standard Costing and Performance Evaluation
Application of standard costs, variance calculations, and control mechanisms for efficient operations.

Module 8: Strategic Pricing and Financial Decision-Making
Pricing methods, value-based pricing, and financial considerations in pricing decisions.

Module 10: Introduction to Islamic Finance and Shariah-Compliant Instruments
Principles of Islamic finance, key instruments (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk), and comparison with conventional finance.
